Happy Halloween!

Well another night of Stamp and Scrap Club is over. I think that all of my ladies had fun doing the Halloween projects. I thought that I'd add a few pictures of the door prize give away and some other ideas I had out for them to maybe get some more ideas from. The give-away was 3 cards done with the SU Tableau of Terror stamp set and a spidey card using the SU scallop punch and photo corner punch. The belly band bat used was from SU's Batty for You set and the scallop punch. All the PP used was SU's Ghostly Greetings PDSP paper. Card stock used , all SU: Kiwi Kiss, Cert.Celery, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Basic Black and Only Orange. I also had a Halloween bucket for the girls to try out SU's Halloween Rub-On's on. Which was fun.
Well now it's time to get the creative juices flowing and get to work on next months projects.

M.I.A. Sort Of...

I know that I said that I would try and get a couple of blogs out a week, but I have been overwhelmed with learning all of this blog stuff. I guess I'm blog-illiterate. Everything is scary for me. I've been trying to get a few thing together that we have done at my Wednesday Clubs and some of the upcoming projects. Some are my own ideas and some are bits and pieces of others ideas with a little bit of my magic. I have read so many blogs that my brain is scrambled with millions of ideas and I know that some ideas may be parts of other wonderful bloggers' talents. I never thought that I would have a blog of my own and I never kept track of who all of the ideas I had seen belonged to. I hope that it is OK with everyone and if you see anything that might have been borrowed I want you to know it was something that I thought was so good it needed to be shared with others. From now on I will try and keep track of any ideas C.A.S.E.D. I try and use all S.U. products but, sometimes there is something that is not S.U. I will try and make note of that. Thanks again for checking out my blog and sorry for the long span since my last entry.

Enjoy! Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Sandy

Blast From The Past

Ok, I know I said that I'd only post a couple times a week, but I just had to see if I could post a couple of pics of cards that I did this past Mother's Day for my Mom and my Mother in Law, and a birthday card.

The first and second card are done with a glitter tech. First you stamp your image with a solvent ink like StazOn on a regular transparency. Then add glue to all the sections that are the same color, I use Jewel It glue. Then add glitter to all of those sections. Let that dry and glue another section add next color of glitter and so on. The first card is done without any cutouts. On the second (Poppy) the part that overhangs is cut out. Do this with very sharp small scissors after it has completely dried. Both cards have a center gift card holder.
1st card PSX stamp. 2nd card Yvonne Albritton stamp

For this card I used a Penny Black image stamped with StazOn ink on watercolor paper. I used Stampin' Up markers and a waterbrush to get a watercolor effect. I added stickles glitter to the flower bouquet.
So how was that for a first?
Hope you liked it.

A Little About Me

September 29, 2008

SO SCARY! My first attempt at writing a blog. I've been reading blogs for about a year and now when I get up the courage to start my own blog I freeze up. UGH! Just some info so you can get to know me. I have a DH who supports all of my strange addictions, (hoarding everything dealing with stampin' and scrappin', and every thing else I have to try.) We have 6 children, and 2 grandchildren. I was born and raised in Southern California and now live in a Beautiful Green valley in Utah. Although you know what they say. "You can take the girl out of California, but you can't take California out of the girl. I miss the ocean more than anything. I have been a stamper/scrapbooker for over ?? years, to many to count and I have loved every minute of it. I signed up with Stampin' Up this past May to help out with my addiction to stampin' and I hope to be able to get a couple of clubs going to share what I love to do with friends and neighbors.

I'll try to post a couple times a week and when I get courageous enough, I post pics.
